ABOUT ME

Hello!!

I am a techer of Infant Education and on this blog I will upload different types of activities that I will realize in my classroom with me students and resources that the children are able to do in their home.

PICTURE DICTIONARY

The teacher will aupload the next vocabulary that we are going to work on the role play activity in the classroom.

These vocabulary will be teaching in picture dictionaries.






























PODCAST

The teacher will upload one episode of a podcast, whose talk about why the ocean it's salty. I recommed to see this episode, because it's talk about the natural environment and a curious factor that I think it's interesant to know about.

This episode of the podcast it's available in youtube, so anyone are able to see it without any problem.



EFL ESCAPE ROOM

The teacher has planned a diffrent activity to reinforce the vocabulary of English, but with this activity the students are going to have fun doing it. This activity it's a Escape Room, I will upload the link of the Escape Room, so the children will able to do it in their homes if they want to.

The teacher made the escape room using the support of genially, this resource it's availble for anyone it's free, so everone can use this type of resource.

EFL MUSICAL ACTIVITY

The teacher has planned the next activity to realize in the classroom with their students


For this activity we are going to make a song, so the students will make groups of four people, in every group they have to make a song with the vocabulary, that we have learnt before with the picture dictionaries.

The students have to make the lyrics of the song with the English vocabulary that they learnt, but the teacher will give them the pictures dictionaries to remind that type of vocabulary. In addition, they need to make the rhythm of the song with the musical instruments that the teacher give to them, these materials are xylophone, the triangle, maraca and the Chinese box.

After they make the song with his rhythm and his lyrics, each group will perform their song


DIGITAL STORYTELLING

On the next video, we will see the teacher using the methodology of storytelling with a book that it's in the classroom library.


In addition, with the next resource whose name is "Storyjumper", the students will be aable to create their own book. Besides this website are affordable for anyone, due to it's free to conmsume.

ROLE-PLAYING ACTIVITY

In our class we are going to do a role play activity, for this activity we are going to decorate our class as a cafeteria.

But to open a cafeteria, we need food to give to the customers, so the students of our class will learn to do certain recipe that there are in the cafeterias, so they will give what they made before to the customers. Because of this reason, the teacher will teach them how to make certain recipes to sale.

Before to learn about how to make the recipes, the students will decorate the classroom as a cafeteria. First of all, the teacher will ask the students, what they think they make and what they do in a cafeteria. Then the teacher will write what they think in a mural. Then, they will decorate the classroom depending on what they think with the support of the teacher.

On the other hand, the teacher will teach them certain words that they will need to know. Before they do the recipes and what words they need to know to ask to the customers, what they want. And what words they have to know to answer what the worker of the cafe asked them, because also they are going to be the customers.

The vocabulary that the teacher is going to teach them, it’s the ingredients of the recipes and the script that they must know to sale what they made and what they want in case of the customer, the script it’s the following one:

The students will learn how to make croissants, pancake and different types of smoothies and juice of orange, with the help of the teacher. Moreover, the explanation of the recipes will be in English, the teacher will use words in English to refer the ingredients and she will be emphasized with a plenty of movements with her hands. For example the teacher will say egg, then she say break and then she will do the movements with her hands that action. This explanation she will do it repeatedly, so the children know what she is referring and when the students know how to do it, then the teacher and all the students will crash the egg.

This part of the activity will last two weeks, the teacher will dedicate two days of the week to practice the recipe. Meanwhile, the practice of this recipes the students will bring what they have done to their home. But on the last day of the practice of the the recipes, the teacher will keep what they had done in boxes, because the next week they will be act as the worker of the cafeteria and as the customers.

This role play activity, they will do it twice, because one time some students will the workers and the others the customers. So, the next time they will change the roles.
